    Gentle Yoga for Chronic Pain – all levels

    In this class we focus on gentle movements, relaxation and rest, to improve our mobility and decrease the discomfort in our bodies. Yin yoga is the basis of this class. In Yin yoga, poses are practiced on the floor or lying down and are held for several minutes. We use different yoga props to make our bodies comfortable so we can focus on our body sensations, our breathing and our mind. We move gently through each pose in a safe manner and respecting our limits. The poses are adapted to you, not you to the poses. We will also incorporate Hatha Yoga (a classic form of Yoga) in some lessons to strengthen our muscles and to gain back trust in our bodies.

    > Who is this class for: all levels (including beginners) and adults (from 18 years old). This class is especially designed for people with chronic pain, including fibromyalgia. Special attention is given to shoulder, neck and back pain. This class is another strategy in your toolkit for pain management, it is not a replacement for any medical treatment.

    > What you can expect:Breathing exercises, mindfulness and meditation. Most classes are based on Yin Yoga and occasionally Hatha Yoga, ending with a relaxation. We use different yoga props to ensure safety and comfort. The focus is on gentle movements, body awareness, rest and relaxation.
